Homebuyer's Dictionary (glossary)

There are many types of homebuyer seminars offered by a wide range of providers throughout Essex County. Classes listed with an * are offered by agencies with the Seal of Approval certification from the Massachusetts Homeownership Collaborative indicating that they meet the Collaborative’s standards for buyer education and adhere to its Code of Ethics.

The class schedules are subject to change so, it is recommended that you contact the class provider to reserve a seat and confirm class dates and times.

For additional class listings beyond Essex County, visit the Citizen’s Housing and Planning Association’s web site .

When working with a lender, be sure to ask if they require the completion of a specific education program.
